EDWARDIAN SILK TAFFETA & GOLD EMB NET LACE BLOUSE W FLORALS
DATING TO THE EDWARDIAN ERA
FASHIONED OF A COLONIAL BLUE SILK TAFFETA WITH PIPED EDGES RUNNING THROUGHOUT AND CUT WITH A LONGER TAIL THAT IS TRIMMED IN SELF COVERED BUTTONS ON EACH FOLD.
THE FRONT IS IN A LEAF PATTERN LACE THAT IS EDGED IN METALLIC STITCHING WITH A V OF METALLIC LACE AT THE TOP.  THE SLEEVES HAVE MATCHING LACE ON THE INTERIOR WITH A MATCHING BLUE NET ATOP.  LARGE SILK TAFFETA CUFFS PIPED ALONG THE EDGES WITH SELF COVERED BUTTONS TRIMMING THE TOP.
CONDITION
:  UNDERARMS SHOW STAINING ON THE BLUE SILK TAFFETA.  THE INNER GROSGRAIN BELTING IS WEAK AND SPLITTING AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE.  THE PLEATED BELTING HAS COME FREE FROM EACH SIDE AND I WOULD RESTYLE IT TO A MORE FINISHED LOOK.
