Victorian Broderie Anglaise Eyelet Embroidery Whitework Lace Ruffle Poet Shirt Blouse
This antique Victorian era broderie anglaise eyelet embroidery whitework lace ruffle poet shirt blouse dates from 1890. It is made of a white cotton fabric with broderie anglaise eyelet embroidery cutwork whitework and lace ruffle trim details. This lovely lace ladies poet shirt blouse has a fitted tailored style, with a high neck fold over collar, gathered shoulders, long tapered sleeves with eyelet trim cuffs, a wide box pleat back, tiny mother of pearl button closures down the front and is unlined. The top measures 25 inches long, with a 44 inch chest, 12 inch neck, 16 1/2 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a few faint tiny yellow spots on the front (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana whitework wearable art!
